An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference approximately half a furlong out involving Summer Valley (GB), placed third, ridden by Rhys Clutterbuck and Dawn View (IRE), placed fourth, ridden by Marco Ghiani.
The Stewards considered that the interference had not improved Summer Valley (GB)’s placing as Dawn View (IRE) appeared to lose little momentum after receiving a slight bump from Summer Valley (GB) and was not making any ground on the filly on the run to the line.
Clutterbuck was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as he had allowed Summer Valley (GB) to hang left-handed without timely correction, resulting in the filly making contact with Dawn View (IRE).
Elisha Whittington, the rider of the winner, C'mon Kenny (GB), was also present in the enquiry and the Stewards noted that marginal contact took place between C'mon Kenny (GB) and Dawn View (IRE) as the two horses rolled into each other, but it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of C'mon Kenny (GB).
Following the race, Alex Jary reported that Greek Kodiac (IRE), placed eighth, ran too freely.
