The Starter reported that Balzac (GB) refused to enter the stalls and was withdrawn at 2:37pm.
Stuart Williams was informed that the gelding could not run until the day after passing a stalls test.
As it was the second occasion within the previous 12 months that Balzac (GB) had been reported, a further report within the same period would mean the gelding would be prevented from having a stalls test for 6 months.
The winner, Lunar Jet (GB), appeared to show improved form, compared with its previous run at Nottingham on 07 October 2020 where the gelding finished seventh of nine runners, beaten by 10½ lengths.
It was noted that John Mackie could offer no explanation for the gelding’s improved form.
Lunar Jet (GB) was routine tested.
