Permission was given for Beautifulasalways (GB) to wear a red hood to post.
The raceday privilege request in relation to Kracking (GB), trained by Clive Cox, was not submitted.
Cox was warned as to his responsibility to ensure that all raceday privilege requests are submitted by 1pm on the day before racing.
The performance of New Dayrell (GB), which started favourite and finished unplaced, was considered.
William Muir and Chris Grassick’s representative’s explanation that the gelding was never travelling was noted.
The Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of New Dayrell (GB), during routine testing, failed to reveal any abnormalities.
The winner, Outrace (IRE), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Lingfield on 24 June 2023 where the colt finished sixth of six runners, beaten 12 lengths.
Richard Hannon’s representative’s explanation that the colt benefitted from the drop back in trip to 1 mile from 1 mile 2 furlongs was noted.
