Horner Woods was all the rage (9/4 to 11/8 morning and 11/10 to 9/10 on course) and ran out a good winner.

Mark Bolger tracked the leaders before improving to challenge three out. He went on turning for home and got to work on his mount after the second last to settle matters.

He pulled away from before the final flight to win in good style, easing down close to the line.

He could have one more run over hurdles, possibly a winners contest at Punchestown, before a chasing career next season.

The son of Presenting had claimed a point-to-point and bumper before finishing second on his hurdling debut here last time. He appreciated the extra half-mile this time and looks a promising individual.

Equus Maximus never really got close enough to pose a danger. He moved into third three out but couldn't pick up when asked for an effort turning in.

He made mistakes at the last two and although he stayed on to second over the last, never looked like getting close to the winner.

Grand Lahou took them along but had no more to offer when headed entering the straight. He was also untidy at the last two flights.

Yatool chased the leaders but came under pressure before the third last and was soon beaten. He stayed on at one pace.

Lucy's Mate moved closer down the back but could only keep on at the one pace from three out.

Carrigeen King was withdrawn late because of the ground. Kilcornan was lame while Captain Conflict had no excuse for his absence.
