The winner, Rhubarb Bikini (IRE), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Lingfield on 12 July 2021 where the gelding finished last of eight, beaten by 12½ lengths.
Michael Attwater’s explanation that the gelding benefitted from being ridden more prominently on this occasion and being suited to a return to 1 mile from 1 mile 2 furlongs was noted.
Rhubarb Bikini (IRE) was routine tested.
Following the race, David Probert reported that Radetsky (USA), placed eighth, stopped quickly and the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the gelding failed to reveal any abnormalities.
