She is a great filly to train, and has won her last four now which is not an ideal preparation for a premier handicap,. She's tough and Declan said she didn't handle the track and was hanging. She's in the Matron Stakes and we'll probably let her take her chance now. That will probably be her next race. She keeps improving and, while she goes on any ground, she loves soft ground. She loves racing, and if you leave her out in a paddock she will try to come out over the railing. She will be kept in training next year, and may go to Royal Ascot. We always felt she was a mile and a quarter filly, and she will step up to that trip next year. She has such a high cruising speed that she could make all over five furlongs. The Stewards enquired into an incident about 150 yards from the finish involving Gussy Goose, ridden by W.J. Lee, unplaced and Cailin Mor, ridden by N.G. McCullagh , unplaced, where it appeared that Gussy Goose ran short of room and checked. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the incident was caused by N.G. McCullagh riding carelessly and consequently suspended him for 1 raceday having taken his good previous record into consideration. C. O'Donoghue, rider of Princess Aloof, trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount ran short of room soon after the start while receiving pressure from the higher drawn horses moving inwards and in his actions to check his mount his saddle slipped at that time. Shane Lyons, Authorised representative for G.M.Lyons, trainer of Sea Wolf, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his charge burst a blood vessel during this race.

An extended handicap for three yrs old and upwards that, at entry, have run at least twice under any Rules of Racing, are eligible for a handicap rating and are rated 80 or more (105 = 9st 12lb)
Weights - Top weight in the original handicap; shall not be less than 9st 12lb
Penalties - (after calculation of the handicap) A winner shall carry 5lb extra; for each race won. To Close 13th July.
