The Stewards enquired into an incident crossing the roadway at the turn into the back straight involving Ayre's Hawk, ridden by W.J. Lee, unplaced, Hook Head, ridden by K.J. Manning, placed sixth and Monopoly, ridden by D.P. McDonogh, placed third, where it appeared that Ayre's Rock was hampered and checked. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards accepted the explanations offered and took no further action

K.J. Manning, rider of Hook Head trained by J. S. Bolger, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount jinked at the road crossing on the bend leading into the back straight
