An enquiry was held to consider interference on the approach to the second-last fence when Falcon Sun (FR), placed second, ridden by Harry Skelton, interfered with the winner, Jaboticaba (FR), ridden by Tom Cannon.
Skelton was suspended for 4 days for improper riding as he had manoeuvred left-handed when he ought reasonably have known that interference would take place, resulting in Jaboticaba (FR) being carried off its intended line and in tight towards the boss of the fence.
