Permission was given for Flame Of Kodiac (IRE) to wear a red hood to post.
The winner, Flame Of Kodiac (IRE), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Wolverhampton on 6 November 2023 where the filly finished ninth of eleven runners beaten by 6 lengths.
It was noted that John Flint could offer no explanation for the filly’s improved form.
Flame Of Kodiac (IRE) was routine tested.
The performance of Eye Of The Water (IRE) which started second-favourite and finished sixth of eight runners, was considered.
It was noted that Ronald Harris could offer no explanation for the performance of the gelding; the Veterinary Officer examined Eye Of The Water (IRE) post-race and had nothing to report.
The performance of Khangai (GB) which finished seventh of eight runners, was considered.
Mark Rimmell explained that the gelding had tired in the soft ground on his first run of the season and would be suited by a step up in trip.
His explanation was noted.
Following the race, Darragh Keenan reported that Mayz (IRE), placed third, was denied a clear run from approaching the final 2 furlongs.
