Permission was given for Bear Force One (GB) to be mounted in the chute and go early to post and for Sunset Breeze (GB) to be mounted in the chute.
Approximately 3 furlongs out Sunset Breeze (GB), unplaced, stumbled when weakening but after viewing a recording of the incident it was found that no other horse or rider was involved.
Approximately 1 furlong out, Wobwobwob (IRE), placed third, shifted sharply left carrying Ropey Guest (GB), placed fourth, marginally off its intended line but after viewing a recording of the incident it was found that no riding offence was involved, and it had not improved the placing of Wobwobwob (IRE).
Following the race, the representative of Charles Hills reported that Persuasion (IRE), placed fifth, was unsuited by the going, which was officially described as Good to Soft, Soft in places and would prefer a quicker surface.
The representative of William Haggas reported that Motawaajed (IRE), unplaced, was also unsuited by the going and would prefer a quicker surface.
