The apparent improvement in form of the winner, My Bad Lucy (GB), compared with its previous run at Wincanton on 7th January 2023 where the gelding finished sixth of eleven runners, beaten by 46 ¼ lengths was considered.
The representative of Nick Gifford advised that My Bad Lucy (GB) had appreciated the quicker ground today which was officially described as Good, Good to Firm (In places) having raced on a Good, Good to Soft (In places) going on its previous outing.
Their explanation was noted and the gelding was routine tested.
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that First Man (IRE), unplaced, lost its right-hind shoe.
