An enquiry was held to consider interference inside the final 2 furlongs when BALATA BAY, placed seventh, ridden by Seamus Cronin, interfered with STRAWBERRY JACK, unplaced, ridden by Jason Watson, who in turn interfered with SOCIETY SHOCK (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Adam McNamara. Being a 7ib claimer, Cronin was accompanied by a senior rider. Cronin was suspended for 3 days for careless riding as he allowed his mount to lug left without sufficient correction causing Watson to take a check and McNamara to take a slight check on the rail
