The winner, Jaunty Viking (GB), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Worcester on 12 May 2021 where the gelding finished third of the thirteen finishers, beaten by 18½ lengths.
It was noted that Brian Eckley could offer no explanation for Jaunty Viking (GB)’s improved form.
The gelding was routine tested.
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that Blumen Glory (IRE), placed fourth, and One Handsome Dude (IRE), placed seventh, both lost their right-fore shoes.
