Blue Curacao (GB), trained by Pat Phelan, entered the Parade Ring without its declared hood which was subsequently fitted onto the filly before going down to the start.
As this caused a delay to the start of the race, Phelan was fined £140.
The winner, Vinaka (IRE), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Kempton on 28 June 2023 where the filly finished last of eleven, beaten by 13½ lengths.
The representative of Ali Stronge’s explanation that Vinaka (IRE) appeared to benefit from the Soft, Good to Soft in places ground on this occasion, was noted.
The filly was routine tested.
Following the race, the representative of Phil McEntee reported that Macho Mania (IRE), unplaced, was unsuited by the Soft, Good to Soft in places ground on this occasion and would prefer a faster surface.
