Permission was given for Jean Mary (GB) to go early to post and for Talking About You (GB) to go early to post and to be mounted on the track.
Permission was given for Ten Thousand Stars (GB) to wear a red hood to the Start.
Approaching the wings of the last hurdle, the winner, Historic Heart (IRE) ducked quickly right causing Sans Logique (GB) (IRE), placed fourth, to be checked slightly, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Historic Heart (IRE).
An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference on the run in when the winner Historic Heart (IRE), ridden by David Noonan interfered with Ten Thousand Stars (GB), placed third, ridden by Henry Brooke.
The Stewards considered that the interference had not improved Historic Heart (IRE)’s placing as although Ten Thousand Stars (GB) was shifted off her intended line, the momentum that was lost was less than the ¾ length winning margin at the line between the first and the third.
The interference was found to be accidental as Historic Heart (IRE) hung quickly towards the paddock entrance but was immediately corrected by Noonan.
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that Ten Thousand Stars (GB), placed third, had lost her left-hind shoe.
