An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference inside the final 1 ½ furlongs when the winner Dark Vision (IRE), ridden by James Doyle interfered with Beringer (GB), placed second, ridden by Martin Harley.
The Stewards considered that the interference had not improved Dark Vision (IRE)’s placing as Beringer (GB) appeared to lose less momentum than the neck between the runners at the line.
Doyle was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as he angled his mount right-handed for a run when insufficiently clear, carrying Harley off his intended line for several strides.
Sean Levey, the rider of Oh This Is Us (IRE), placed fourth, was also interviewed but was found not to be involved in the interference.
Following the race, Sean Levey reported that Oh This Is Us (IRE), placed fourth, hung right-handed in the home straight.
