Permission was given for Robbing The Prey (IRE) to wear a hood in the Parade Ring.
An enquiry was held into the running and riding of Get Help (IRE), ridden by Sam Coltherd and trained by Stuart Coltherd, which was ridden handy until losing its position on the final circuit and then staying on to finish fourth, beaten 11¾ lengths.
The rider was interviewed and shown recordings of the race.
The rider stated that his instructions were to ride the gelding handy and obtain the best possible position.
He added that he felt the race was run at a good gallop and he had pushed Get Help (IRE) along from down the back straight and the gelding had stayed on one-paced through tired horses in the home straight.
His explanation was noted.
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that the winner, Honourary Gift (IRE), had lost its left fore shoe.
