The winner, AMOUR DE NUIT (IRE), appeared to show an improvement in form compared with its previous run at Ascot on 3 November 2018, where the gelding finished fifth of seven, beaten 32 ½ lengths. The representative of Paul Nicholls explained that the race at Ascot possibly came too soon for AMOUR DE NUIT (IRE) after its race at Ludlow nine days earlier. The gelding was routine tested.
