An enquiry was held to consider interference approaching the final half a furlong involving ELYSEES (IRE), placed second, ridden by Tom Bellamy and the winner, QUEL DESTIN (FR), ridden by Harry Cobden. Bellamy was cautioned for careless riding as he allowed his mount to drift left without sufficient correction, carrying QUEL DESTIN (FR) slightly off its intended line.
The performance of CRACKER FACTORY, which started second favourite and finished fifth of five, was considered. The representative of Alan King could offer no explanation for the gelding's performance. CRACKER FACTORY was routine tested.
