The winner, Lammturner (IRE), appeared to show improved form, compared with its previous run at Carlisle on 18 February 2019 where the mare finished sixth of thirteen, beaten 26 lengths.
Joanne Foster’s representative’s explanation that the mare benefited from the step up in trip, first time application of cheek pieces and being ridden more prominently on this occasion was noted.
Lammturner (IRE) was routine tested.
Billy Garritty, the rider of Strike West (IRE) was suspended for 2 days for using his whip in the incorrect place in the closing stages.
Being a 7lb claimer, Garritty was accompanied in the enquiry by a senior rider.
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that Top Man Tim (IRE), placed fifth, was lame on its right fore.
