Approximately 1½ furlongs out, Kodi Gold (IRE), placed seventh, shifted quickly left-handed before being corrected by the rider, causing Beryl The Peril (IRE), placed sixth, to have to be checked momentarily and be shifted left-handed causing Thomas Daniell (GB), placed fourth, to be taken marginally off its intended line.
After viewing a recording of the incident it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Following the race, Liam Keniry reported that Kodi Gold (IRE), placed seventh, hung left-handed.
Laura Pearson reported that Northern General (IRE), placed eighth, was slowly away, and the Veterinary Officer reported that the gelding had lost its left-hind shoe.
