Permission was given for Shammah (IRE) to go early to post.
Approaching the one furlong marker, there was interference between Shammah (IRE), placed third, which hung right off the bend and Sermon (IRE), placed second, which was leaning left, resulting in both runners becoming unbalanced after they bumped, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Following the race, one of the Stewards reported that he had seen Sean Davis using his mobile phone outside the phone zone.
Sean Davis was fined £290.
