Permission was given for Papa Don't Preach (IRE) to go early to post.
An enquiry was held to consider interference just inside the final furlong when PAPA DON’T PREACH (IRE), placed second, ridden by Rossa Ryan, interfered with King Of Tonga (IRE), placed fourth, ridden by Harrison Shaw, who in turn interfered with Oso Rapido (IRE), placed fifth, ridden by Daniel Tudhope.
Ryan was cautioned for careless riding as he edged his mount slightly right-handed when insufficiently clear carrying King Of Tonga (IRE) marginally off its intended line, which in turn caused Tudhope to take a slight check.
The performance of EY UP IT’S MAGGIE, which started favourite and finished unplaced, was considered.
Tony Coyle’s representative’s explanation that the filly ran flat was noted.
The Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of EY UP IT’S MAGGIE, during routine testing, failed to reveal any abnormalities.
Following the race, Rossa Ryan reported that Papa Don't Preach (IRE), placed second, hung left- handed under pressure.
