she had some great some runs last year and some middling runs and I'd say an ease in the ground is essential for her. We've been waiting and waiting and thank god she got some ease in it today and got out and got a run. She probably wants further and we'll go up to a mile and hope to get an ease in the ground again next.

At the request of the Stewards, G.M. Ryan, rider of Improving, trained by Augustine Leahy, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount ran green and free in the early stages of this race
The Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages involving Check My Pulse, ridden by B.M. Coen, placed third, Lumsden, ridden by L.F. Roche, placed fifth and Meryems Way, ridden by K.J. Leonard, placed second, where it appeared Lumsden ran short of room on the rail. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned
