Permission was given for Remastered (GB) to wear a red hood in the preliminaries.
After an initial false start, the start was effected successfully on the second attempt.
However having reviewed recordings of the false start, the Starters were satisfied that no riders should be reported for contravening the starting procedures.
An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference on the run in, when the winner Remastered (GB), ridden by Jack Tudor, interfered with Deise Aba (IRE), placed second, ridden by Kevin Brogan.
The Stewards considered that the interference had not improved the placing of Remastered (GB) as Deise Aba (IRE) had lost no momentum and was always being held by Remastered (GB) to be beaten a short head at the line.
They therefore ordered the placings to remain unaltered.
Tudor was cautioned for careless riding as he had allowed his horse to drift right-handed without timely correction, taking Deise Aba (IRE) slightly off its intended line.
Following the race, James Best reported that My Silver Lining (IRE), which was pulled up, was never travelling.
