Temporize (GB), drawn 3, anticipated the start and accelerated the gate at the same moment as the race had been started.
Being satisfied that it was not caused through a faulty action of the starting stalls, no further action was taken.
An enquiry was held to consider interference approaching the final furlong involving the winner, Wonderful Eagle (GER), ridden by Tom Queally, Duke Of Verona (IRE), placed second, ridden by Jim Crowley and Percy Shelley (GB), placed sixth, ridden by Daniel Tudhope.
Kevin Stott, the rider of Temporize (GB), placed fourth, and Hector Crouch, the rider of East India Dock (GB), placed third, were also interviewed but was found not to be involved.
Queally was suspended for 3 days for careless riding as he allowed Wonderful Eagle (GER) to drift left-handed towards the stand side rail when insufficiently clear, taking Duke Of Verona (IRE) off its intended line causing Tudhope to take a check for a number of strides aboard Percy Shelley (GB).
On the run to the line, East India Dock (GB), placed third, shifted slightly right-handed making slight contact with Duke Of Verona (IRE), placed second.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Following the race, Daniel Tudhope reported that Percy Shelley (GB), placed sixth, suffered interference approaching the final furlong.
