An enquiry was held into the circumstances surrounding Fly Miss Helen (FR) sustaining an injury approximately 3½ furlongs out.
Sean Levey was interviewed and recordings of the incident were viewed.
Levey explained that Fly Miss Helen (FR) had run quite keenly to post and in the early stages of the race he felt the filly may have been feeling the Good to Firm ground, particularly with that part of the race being downhill.
He added that once Fly Miss Helen (FR) had changed leads she had travelled better, before changing leads again whereupon he felt the filly was not moving with her usual fluency once again and he was in the process of pulling Fly Miss Helen (FR) up when the filly had sustained an injury to her left-fore.
Levey’s explanation was noted.
