The Stewards fined W.J. Martin, trainer, ?350 for lodging a passport in respect of Prodlic, in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards allowed the horse to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the vaccinations were in order. The Stewards received a report from the Clerk of the Scales, Mr.W.Fleming, that M.J. Kenneally, rider of Ben Bourgas, failed to weigh in. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned in the presence of Ms. Sheila Lavery, trainer, who accompanied the rider in the Stewards room. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Rule 227 and having considered his record, severely cautioned him concerning his future responsibilities in this regard. Furthermore Ben Bourgas was disqualified in accordance with Rule 230.
