The performance of Euchen Glen (GB) which started second favourite and finished fifth of six runners, was considered.
Paul Mulrennan reported that Euchen Glen (GB) was never travelling and Jim Goldie could offer no explanation for the performance, other than the race may have come too soon for the gelding following his run at Goodwood eight days earlier; The Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of Euchen Glen (GB) during routine testing, failed to reveal any abnormalities.
