Permission was given for Slainte Mhath (GB) to wear a red hood to post.
Rory (GB) collided with the rails leaving the paddock.
Having been checked by the Veterinary Officer, the gelding was deemed fit to race.
An enquiry was held to consider two incidents of interference approximately 1 ½ out when the winner, Impressor (IRE), ridden by Ben Curtis interfered with Iris Dancer (GB), placed third, ridden by Andrew Mullen and Slainte Mhath (GB), placed second, ridden by Phil Dennis.
In the first incident the interference was found to be accidental as Curtis shifted slightly left-handed at the same time as Slainte Mhath (GB) was hanging right-handed causing Mullen to check for several strides.
In the second incident, Curtis was cautioned for careless riding as Impressor had already shown a tendency to shift left-handed, he failed to take sufficient or timely steps to prevent the gelding from drifting further left-handed giving a bump to Dennis and carrying him slightly off his intended line.
Following the race, Phil Dennis reported that Slainte Mhath (GB), placed second, hung right-handed.
Billy Garritty reported that Ramon Di Loria (IRE), placed fourth, ran flat.
