Approaching ½ furlong out, the winner, Parisiac (IRE), lugged quickly left taking The Dunkirk Lads (GB), unplaced, off its intended line which caused the rider of Chrysos (USA), placed fourth, to take a check but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved, and it had not improved the placing of Parisiac (IRE).
Following the race, Shane Gray reported that Melayu Kingdom (IRE), unplaced, hung right.
