Permission was given for Snazzy Jazzy (IRE) to be mounted in the chute and to go early to post and for Significantly (GB) to go early to post wearing a red hood.
The performance of Hurricane Ivor (IRE), which started joint favourite and finished unplaced, was considered.
Tom Marquand reported that the gelding was never travelling, and William Haggas’ representative reported that Hurricane Ivor (IRE) was unsuited by the soft going on this occasion, which in their opinion was riding softer than described following rainfall.
The gelding was routine tested.
Following the race, Connor Beasley reported that Dakota Gold (GB), placed third, hung right; Clifford Lee reported that Significantly (GB), placed fifth, put its head down in the stalls and was slowly away as a result and Phil Dennis reported that Snazzy Jazzy (IRE), placed sixth, was slowly away.
