WHERESBEN is a tough and capable sort who has now won all his seven races in soft or heavy ground. A good winner at Naas last time out, his defied his revised 128 mark here and on this evidence, is fully entitled to tackle the better handicap chases next season. Winning trainer Seamus Fahey later reported "it took him some time to come to himself this season and hopefully the handicapper wont be too hard on him. We may go for a Grade 3 chase at Limerick next weekend."

FOREST LEAVES has just one maiden hurdle win to his name from 28 career starts and he again failed to get his head in front today. He jumped to the right throughout today's race and seemed to hang to the right on the run-in. His is proving difficult to win with but is sure to win a beginners' chase and has claims in similar handicaps too. To say he improved from his previous yard may be doing his former trainer Dessie Hughes a dis-service though.

Once smart hurdler MUTINEER has dropped to a mark where he can prove competitive and ran a sound race in third while HIGH FIDELITAY had shown some ability in point to points and looks as though he can win handicaps.

ARBOR SUPREME emptied a little too quickly before two out and was slightly disappointing.
