An exhilarating front-running display by RETRIEVETHELEGEND, jumping with real zest while racing wide on the better ground throughout. The aggressive riding tactics worked a treat on the nine-year-old grey who certainly jumped much better here than in the past. He went clear before five out and never looked in any danger of being caught. This represented a major step up on previous handicap form, and it will be interesting to see if he can follow this up.
ROLL OVER made the best attempt at closing the gap on the winner from four out but his challenge petered out after the second last. MUTINEER never threatened the winner but typically stayed on well under pressure from the home turn to go second on the run-in.
