Permission was given for Moe's Legacy (GB) to go early to post.
Shortly after the start, a very freely running Moe's Legacy (GB), unplaced, shifted left-handed off the heels of The Cola Kid (GB), placed third, causing it to bump and hamper Impeach (IRE), placed second, which was also running freely, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Following the race, Joey Haynes reported that Moe's Legacy (GB), unplaced, was slowly away and ran too freely.
The Veterinary Officer reported that The Cola Kid (GB), which started favourite and finished third, was lame on its right-fore.
