On the bend after the fifth hurdle, Spike Jones (GB), placed second, collided with the running rail but after viewing a recording of the incident, and being satisfied that no other horse or rider was involved, the Stewards took no further action.
An enquiry was held to consider interference approaching the line involving the winner, Jet Legs (IRE), ridden by Patrick Wadge and Spike Jones (GB), placed second, ridden by Sean Bowen.
Wadge was cautioned for careless riding as he had failed to take sufficient steps to prevent his mount drifting left, taking Spike Jones (GB) slightly off its intended line.
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that Theme Tune (IRE), placed fifth, was showing signs of post-race heat stress and Leostar (GB), unplaced, was lame on its left fore.
