It was noted that leaving the stalls, Amal (IRE), unplaced, jumped awkwardly and Mr Joe Leavy, lost his right stirrup iron which he regained shortly after.
Approximately four furlongs out, Hot Day (GB), placed third, edged left momentarily, making slight contact with the winner, Millicent (GB), but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
An enquiry was held to consider interference approximately two furlongs out, involving the winner, Millicent (GB), ridden by Dr Misha Voikhansky, Hot Day (GB), placed third, ridden by Mr Lewis Saunders, and Daany(IRE), placed second ridden by Mr Matthew Wilson.
Dr Voikhansky was cautioned for careless riding as he had attempted a run into a gap that was not sufficiently wide for him to negotiate safely, which resulted in his mount making slight contact with the hind quarters of Hot Day (GB).
Following the race, Mr Simon Walker, reported that his saddle slipped on Florence Street (GB), placed fifth.
