He likes Navan and the Curragh. The old adage horses for courses and he seems to like stiffer tracks were he's coming off a strong pace. They can't go hard enough for him, and he likes coming through after a bit of cover early. He's been a great servant, and he goes on most ground apart from very soft. We'll aim for a six-furlong handicap on Derby weekend, and then there is the Paddy Power he ran well in last year. He'll also go for the big sprint handicap on Champions Weekend that he was second in last year but was then disqualified. He could be a horse for the Ayr Gold Cup as he handles a bit of cut. An extended handicap for three yrs old and upwards (95 = 9st 10lb)
Weights - Top weight in the original handicap; shall not be less than 9st 10lb
Penalties - (after calculation of the handicap) A winner shall carry 5lb extra; for each race won. Any horse rated above 95 shall initially be treated as having that rating and the highest weight allotted shall be 9st 10lb. Subsequently, the excess over 95 in any rating shall be added to the weight allotted to that horse. (For the purpose of this note, any three year old rated above 95 shall have the applicable weight for age allowance then prevailing deducted from the horse's rating prior to the original calculation of the handicap)
