An enquiry was held to consider interference approaching the winning line involving From Beyond (GB), placed second, ridden by Oisin Murphy, and Onemorenomore (GB), placed fourth, ridden by Barry McHugh.
Murphy was cautioned for careless riding for allowing his mount to drift right-handed without sufficient correction, causing McHugh to have to ease momentarily.
The winner, Abbadia (IRE), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Newmarket on 19 May 2023, where the filly finished sixth of 16, beaten by 10 ¼ lengths.
The representative of George Boughey explained that Abbadia (IRE) had benefitted from being given an easy lead on this occasion, his explanation was noted and the filly was routine tested.

THE HILARY NEEDLER TROPHY FILLIES' CONDITIONS STAKES (CLASS 2) (GBB RACE) Approximately half a furlong out, the winner, MIDNIGHT AFFAIR (IRE), shifted right-handed before being corrected by the rider, moving ZIGGY’S PHOENIX (IRE), placed fourth, off its intended line which in turn gave FLORA OF BERMUDA (IRE), placed second, a bump which moved it off its line.
After viewing a recording of the incident it was found that no riding offence was involved and it had not improved the placing of MIDNIGHT AFFAIR (IRE).
