Permission was given for Spanish Kiss (GB) to wear a red hood to the start.
The winner, Vindolanda (GB), appeared to show improved form compared with her previous run at Haydock on 22 May 2021 where the filly finished ninth of ten, beaten by 24 ¾ lengths.
Charles Hills explained that Vindolanda (GB) had benefitted from a drop in trip from 2 miles to 1 mile 6 furlongs, and racing on Good to Soft, Good in places ground having raced on Heavy ground at Haydock.
His explanation was noted; Vindolanda (GB) was routine tested.
Following the race, David Probert reported that Buriram (IRE), unplaced, ran too free in the early stages.
