Callum Bewley the rider of Artoff (IRE), which was pulled up approaching 3 out, had failed to dismount his horse when it appeared to have gone lame.
The rider was interviewed and shown recordings of the incident.
The Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination found the gelding to be sore behind.
Bewley explained that he felt something may have been amiss early in the home straight and therefore decided to pull the gelding up, but had difficulty getting him back to a trot.
He added that as he slowed down, Artoff (IRE) appeared to be sound, and he did not realise the gelding was wrong behind until he had walked off the track, when he immediately dismounted.
His explanation was accepted.
