Permission was given for Picture Frame (GB) to wear a hood in the parade ring only.
Approximately 2 furlongs out, Little India (FR), placed fourth, lugged left-handed at the same time that the winner, Lady Lynetta (IRE), shifted right-handed resulting in Rue De La Gaite (IRE), unplaced, being short of room and Willing To Please (GB), placed third, being disappointed for a clear run, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placings of either Little India (FR) or Lady Lynetta (IRE).
Approximately 1½ furlongs out, Mrs Upjohn (FR), unplaced, edged left-handed before being corrected by its rider interfering with Roca Magica (GB), unplaced, causing Robert Havlin to take a precautionary check, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Inside the final furlong, Willing To Please (GB), placed third, shifted quickly left handed away from the whip causing Little India (FR), placed fourth, to be checked in its run, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Willing To Please (GB).
The winner Lady Lynetta (IRE), appeared to show improved form, compared with its previous run at Yarmouth on 3 June 2020 where the filly finished ninth of twelve runners, beaten by 14½ lengths.
It was noted that Richard Hughes could offer no explanation for the filly’s improved form.
The performance of Picture Frame (GB) which started joint-second favourite and finished unplaced, was considered.
The representative of Saeed bin Suroor could offer no explanation for the filly's performance.
The Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of Picture Frame (GB) during routine testing failed to reveal any abnormalities.
Following the race, Robert Havlin reported that Roca Magica (GB), unplaced, had slipped behind on the bend leaving the back straight.
