Permission was given for Fawn At Play (GB) to wear a red hood to post, and for Captain Sedgwick (IRE) to go early to post.

Kenstone (FR), drawn 13, jumped left-handed leaving the stalls giving SAN FRANSISCO BAY (IRE), a bump, but after viewing a recording of the incident it was found that no riding offence was involved.

An enquiry was held to consider interference shortly after the start involving Mountain Ash (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Lewis Edmunds, Dangerous Rascal (IRE), unplaced, ridden by David Probert, and Say Grace (IRE), placed sixth, ridden by Rossa Ryan.

Edmunds was suspended for 3 days for careless riding for manouveruing his mount left-handed, shifting Dangerous Rascal (IRE) off its intended line with Probert having to take a check, which in turn caused Say Grace (IRE) to be taken off its intended line.

An enquiry was held to consider interference approximately two furlongs out involving Captain Sedgwick (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Georgia Dobie, and the winner, Fawn At Play (GB), ridden by Liam Keniry.

The interference was found to be accidental as at the same time as FAWN OF PLAY was manoeuvring past Captain Sedgwick on the outside, Dobie had to take a check to correct her mount from hanging left-handed.

On the run to the line, Cornish Storm (GB), placed fourth, shifted quickly left-handed away from the whip of the rider of Say Grace, (IRE), placed sixth, giving Itsallaboutluck (IRE), placed fifth, a slight bump, but after viewing a recording of the incident it was found that no riding offence was involved and it had not improved the placing of Cornish Storm (GB).

The apparent improvement in form of the winner, Fawn At Play (GB), compared with its previous run at Ffos Las on 25 August 2022, where the filly finished eleventh of 11, beaten by 14 ½ lengths, was considered.

Stuart Kittow's explanation that although a blood test taken after the filly's previous run showed raised levels of muscle enzymes, he could not be certain that this was the cause of Fawn At Play (GB)'s poor run.

As such, he had no explanation for the filly's improved form; his explanation was noted and Fawn At Play (GB) was routine tested.

Following the race, Georgie Dobie reported that Captain Sedgwick (IRE), placed third, hung left- handed in the final two furlongs.

David Probert reported that Dangerous Rascal (IRE), unplaced, stopped quickly; the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the gelding found it to have an irregular heartbeat.

The representative of Ed de Giles reported that Chifa (IRE), unplaced, was unsuited by the Good to Soft ground and would prefer a firmer surface.
