The winner, Savello (IRE), appeared to show improved form, compared with its previous run at Southwell on 4 March 2019 where the gelding finished fourth of seven, beaten by 18 lengths, on going officially described as Good.
Dan Skelton’s explanation that Savello (IRE) was suited by the easier ground, which was officially described as Soft, Good to Soft in places, and benefited from a stronger gallop was noted.
