Permission was given for Army Of India (IRE) to go early to post and be mounted in the chute.
The winner, Kind Review (GB), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at York, on 13 May 2021, where the gelding finished thirteenth of seventeen, beaten by 7¼ lengths.
Tracey Waggott’s explanation that Kind Review (GB) was suited by being ridden more prominently on this occasion and had benefited from a drop in grade from Class 2 to Class 3 was noted.
Kind Review (GB) was routine tested.
Following the race, Harrison Shaw reported that Wrenthorpe (GB), unplaced, hung left and Ben Robinson reported that Militia (GB), unplaced, hung left under pressure.
