A lowly handicap chase and a first win in almost three years for the thoroughly exposed Hows Trix. Jockey Ruby Walsh was a major factor in winning today and winning trainer Dessie Hughes was quick to praise the jockey. Hows Trix, who won on his debut in a bumper in 2005, should find further winning opportunites difficult to come by but at least he is handles quick ground for summer handicaps.

Renepogel won a handicap from a similar mark in 2006 and was unlucky to be pegged back in the closing stages. He jumped well and should prove competitive in similar races again.

Jacks Mac was well backed and ran a sound race from his low mark while Rossdee Lad returned to some bit of form but never looked like winning.

Ah Come On Tom is very moderate while Collinstown was easy to back and disappointed.

Non-Runners were the three reserves.
