Permission was given for Eleanor Cross (GB) to wear a red hood to the start.
An enquiry was held to consider interference shortly after the start involving La Pulga (IRE), placed fourth, ridden by Archie Young, Eleanor Cross (GB), placed third, ridden by Jason Watson, and Charging Thunder (GB), unplaced, ridden by Daniel Tudhope.
Being a 7Ib Claiming Apprentice, Young was accompanied in the enquiry by a senior rider.
After interviewing all riders and viewing recordings of the incident, the Stewards were unable to apportion blame due to insufficient camera coverage.
Following the race, Daniel Tudhope reported that Charging Thunder (GB), which started second-favourite and finished unplaced, suffered interference shortly after the start and the Veterinary Officer reported that the gelding had an irregular heartbeat.
