Permission was given for Alaskan Jewel (IRE) to wear a hood in the Parade Ring and for Fast Response (IRE) to go early to post.
An enquiry was held to consider interference shortly after the start involving IRU CINN TRA (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Paul Hanagan, the winner, Fast Response, ridden by Jason Hart, Abbie Power (IRE), placed sixth, ridden by Ben Robinson, Alaskan Jewel (IRE), placed third, ridden by James Sullivan and Edward Cornelius (IRE), placed second, ridden by Callum Rodriquez.
Rodriguez was suspended for 6 days for careless riding as he allowed his mount to drift left towards the rail without sufficient correction carrying Alaskan Jewel (IRE) off its intended line which caused Abbie Power (IRE) to be caught on heels and to be taken back.
Rodriquez then continued to carry Alaskan Jewel (IRE) left causing Sullivan to take back for several strides and in turn caused Fast Response (IRE) to be taken back for several strides and Iur Cinn Tra (IRE) to be tight for racing room on the rail.
Following the race, Rowan Scott reported that Mytilda (IRE), placed fourth, reared as the stalls opened and was slowly away.
