For some unknown reason the last twice she was a bit hesitant at jumping off. We just said we would change tactics today and maybe get her away in front. Conor (Maxwell) said she kept going and enjoyed herself in front. He said she kept finding and finding for him — I’ll give her that, she’s game. I was just disappointed with her a couple of times, maybe she was in season. I’m delighted she is off the mark for her owner (Patrick Macken)who has a couple of horses with us. We’ll see what the handicapper does, but we’ll keep her going for another while once the conditions suit.

The Stewards interviewed S.D. Torrens, rider of Thatbeatsbanagher, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found S. D. Torrens in breach of Regulation 10.3.(g) excessive frequency
Having considered S. D. Torrens' record in this regard the Stewards suspended S. D. Torrens for four racedays.
An extended handicap hurdle for four years old and upwards rated 80-102
Weights - Top weight in the original handicap and after the time of declaration shall not be less than 12st and the minimum weight is 9st 12lbs
Penalties - Winner of a hurdle race after calculation of the handicap shall carry 5lb extra for each hurdle race won.
