The winner, Devasboy (GB), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Hamilton on 25 May 2022 where the colt finished eighth of eight runners, beaten by 15 lengths.
Charlie Johnston’s explanation that the colt benefitted from the step back up in trip from 6 furlongs to 7 ½ furlongs on this occasion, was noted.
